Who are eyelash extensions for?

Eyelash extensions at SIMEHA Institut are for people who want more defined eyes without mascara. Extensions are applied one by one to your natural lashes, to lengthen them, thicken them or both.

People come to save time in the morning, for a holiday, for an event, or simply because they like to wake up with neat lashes. The result depends on the technique you choose: very discreet with classic lashes, denser with Russian volume.

Three techniques: classic, Brazilian volume, Russian volume

We offer three eyelash extension techniques, at the same price of CHF 120 and for the same duration of 2 h 30 min. The difference lies in the look you get.

Classic lashes suit you if you want a "mascara" look, close to your own lashes. Russian volume suits you if you want very full lashes. Brazilian volume sits between the two. We compare these techniques in detail in the guide classic vs volume lashes.

What happens during an appointment at SIMEHA Institut?

A full set of eyelash extensions at the salon takes 2 h 30 min. You lie down, eyes closed, while the beautician applies the extensions one by one to your natural lashes.

1. The talk: you describe the look you want, the beautician looks at your natural lashes and advises a technique.
2. Preparation: the lower lashes are protected and the upper lashes are cleaned.
3. Application: each extension is fixed to a natural lash, with a glue made for this purpose.
4. The check: you open your eyes, and the result is checked with you.

As you keep your eyes closed throughout, plan not to be in a hurry. If your eyes are sensitive or if you have already reacted to a glue, say so before the appointment.

Infill and removal

The infill is done 2 to 4 weeks after the full set, for CHF 80; removal costs CHF 20 and takes 30 min. You book both online, like the full set.

Your natural lashes fall out and grow back all the time. Each lash that falls takes its extension with it: that is why the lash line thins out little by little and an infill is needed. Do not remove your extensions yourself; have them removed at the salon.

Tips before and after your appointment

Before eyelash extensions, come with no eye make-up. After the appointment, it is generally best to avoid water and steam for the first few hours, while the glue sets properly.

Before your appointment:

• come with no mascara or eyeliner, and without contact lenses if possible;
• avoid oily products around the eyes the day before;
• mention any eye sensitivity or any known allergy.

After your appointment:

• do not wet your lashes for the first few hours;
• avoid oil-based make-up removers, which generally weaken the glue;
• do not rub your eyes and do not pull on the extensions;
• brush your lashes gently;
• book your infill within 2 to 4 weeks.

Where is the salon?

SIMEHA Institut is at Rue Caroline 41, 1227 Genève, Suisse, in the Acacias district. The salon is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00.
