Who are slimming treatments for?

Slimming treatments at SIMEHA Institut are for women and men who want to back up their own efforts with a device-based body treatment: pressotherapy, ultrasound cavitation, radiofrequency or the photopneumatic infrared treatment.

These are beauty treatments. They replace neither a balanced diet, nor physical activity, nor medical care. We promise no measured result: every body reacts in its own way.

The first step is always a talk. The beautician asks what you expect, checks that there is no contraindication to the treatment and explains how it works.

Which slimming treatments do we offer?

We offer four slimming treatments for women and one for men. Each one can be booked by the session; three of them also exist as a package of 6 or 10 sessions.

Pressotherapy

Pressotherapy is a treatment in which the legs are placed in boots that fill with air and apply gradual pressure. At the salon, the session takes 30 min and costs CHF 65.

You stay lying down while the device works. Many people describe a feeling of light legs after the session; this feeling varies from one person to another.

Ultrasound cavitation

Cavitation is a body treatment that uses ultrasound, applied to the skin with a probe. At the salon, the session takes 1 h and costs CHF 150.

The treatment involves no needles and no surgery. The beautician applies a gel, then moves the probe over the chosen area.

Toroidal radiofrequency

Radiofrequency is a treatment in which a device gently heats the tissues through the skin. We offer toroidal radiofrequency: CHF 150 for a session of 1 h for women, and the same price per session for men.

Photopneumatic infrared treatment

The photopneumatic infrared treatment is a device-based treatment offered to women, at CHF 150 for a session of 1 h. The beautician explains how it works before she starts.

Single session or package?

At SIMEHA Institut, pressotherapy, cavitation and the photopneumatic treatment can be booked as a single session or as a package of 6 or 10 sessions. For men, toroidal radiofrequency comes in the same options.

The price of a package is the total price of the sessions. If you are new to the treatment, start with a single session: you will see how your body reacts before you commit. We go through these prices in the guide pressotherapy price.

What happens during a session?

A slimming treatment session at the salon starts with a talk, continues with the device-based treatment in a treatment room and ends with a few tips. It takes 30 min for pressotherapy and 1 h for the other treatments.

You lie down during the treatment. The beautician sets the device and pays attention to what you feel: tell her straight away about any unusual heat, pressure or noise.

Tips before and after a slimming treatment

Before a slimming treatment, mention any particular health situation; after the treatment, drink water. These are the two tips that apply to every treatment on this page.

Before your appointment:

• mention a pregnancy, a pacemaker, an implant, a treatment or a recent operation;
• come in comfortable clothes;
• avoid a heavy meal just before.

After your appointment:

• drink water in the hours that follow;
• keep up regular physical activity and a balanced diet;
• follow the rhythm of sessions advised by the beautician.

Where is the salon?

SIMEHA Institut is at Rue Caroline 41, 1227 Genève, Suisse, in the Acacias district. The salon is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00 and Saturday from 10:00 to 17:00.
